The Annual Charity Polo Tournament
Once again the Strathtyrum Tournament is here and it is going to be bigger
and better than ever before! We will have the club matches first, starting
at 10:30 am, in which you can see all your friends playing their hearts out
for the Hartley Cup. Following lunch, the Exhibition match will entertain
you with a new twist. For the first time in the history of the tournament,
we can boast a St Andrews team made up of some of our best club members
joined with Scotland's top professional player, Alastair Archibald, who has
featured in many previous tournaments here for us. They will be pitting
their wits and tactics against a very strong team from Scotland, comprising
both the Edinburgh and Dundee and Perth Polo clubs.
There is also a Pimms tent, serving copious quantities of the lovely drink
all day, as well as a gorgeous food bar for your pleasure.
Tickets will be on sale outside the Library and the Union from Thursday 16th
April right up to the event itself, where tickets can also be purchased on
the door.
As well as this, our launch party "Chukka" has returned and will be held at
the BYRE Theatre on Thursday 30th April. Tickets will be available at the
same time as the tournament tickets, with the added bonus that if you buy
your Chukka ticket, you get your tournament ticket FOR FREE!
Remember, this is the event of the year that officially marks the beginning
of summer in St Andrews. Tell all your friends and come and make this the
best Chukka party and Strathtyrum tournament the town will have ever seen!"

The
Strathtyrum Estate is within easy walking distance and can
be reached by taking the A91 out of St Andrews, towards
Guardbridge.
The Estate will be on the left hand side of the road, opposite the Old Course Hotel
