Your level of play depends on our level of experience. Complete beginners are first taught the basics of riding by the university Riding club. Once you reach a level where you are confident and in control your instructor will then allow you to progress to Polo lessons with our instructor Thom Bell (pictured).

Thom teaches at his Polo yard in Kinross. He is an HPA (Hurlingham Polo Association) instructor in Scotland and at £ 28 per lesson, certainly good value!

Kinross is located approximately 40 mins from St Andrews and is accessible either by car or the number 23 Bus.

Lessons are booked at club meetings every Tuesday with our secretary.

As you progress through lessons and instructional chukkas, there are plenty of opportunities to play competitive matches and represent the university at all levels.
