Competitions
Edinburgh League:
This League takes place in Edinburgh at Dalmahoy Polo Club throughout the Christmas Term and involves six teams (one from St Andrews) and is usually played on Wednesday afternoons. St Andrews won the league in
2007 and competes strongly every year in this exciting tournament.
Scotland League:
This League was created in 2008 to encompass both St Andrews and Edinburgh as well as the newly founded Stirling and Aberdeen University Polo Clubs. Each Uni plays
4 fixtures over the course of the year and is hosted by Club Instructor Thom Bell at Kinross Polo Club. This league is designed for beginners who are looking for match experience as well as combining the talents learnt

B.E.D.S:
This arena competition puts us up against teams from Bristol, Edinburgh and Durham Universities. It
takes place in November at the Edinburgh Polo Club.
La Martina SUPA Arena Nationals:
This usually takes place in Bristol and is a tournament over four days
where British universities enter teams at different levels. This February event is great fun and involves
a players party.
Strathtyrum:
The Strathtyrum tournament is the club's own annual competition in May. Teams are made from the club's members
and is held over two days. Games on Friday are played on the beach at the end of West Sands. The
Sunday games are played on the grass at the Strathtyrum estate, just outside St Andrews. This is a great day and large
crowds come and watch. We usually have a van from ROXTONS, which sells polo gear. The Gorgeous food tent offers a wide variety of refreshments and our tournament would not be complete
without a glass of PIMMS from the Pimms Bar. We also put on an exhibition match where many of the best players in Scotland show off all the speed and
excitement of Polo.
La Martina Summer Nationals:
This takes place at Offchurchbury Polo Club in Warwickshire usually on the 2nd weekend in June and, like the Arena Nationals these last three days
and comprises many different levels. Teams from all over the country enter into this fun and prestigious tournament. There is also a party on the Saturday night.
